according to my boss, he took a 387 in and out of a at&t wgs 386/25
and that made the difference between it running or not (crashed @
npx0).  i saw it crash & then work, but didn't do it myself.
the best answer i got was that the standard FPU emulation isn't
very good, and that it's a good idea to include the other FPU
emulation (which isn't normally compiled in because of licensing)
and to rebuild the kernel.  but i don't have time to chack all
that.
