Without going into possible problems with your config, let me first say that the USR Sportsters are modems to stay away from. They will be the source of many headaches. Take a look at this site: http://www.carabelli.com/dentist/lore/usrincident.html although I don't think the problem they describe has anything to do with your problem, it's just the point that the quality of the Sporster is poor. good luck, Jonathan
