There were *no* functional changes between the driver in the psm driver
between 2.1 and 2.1.5, so the only culprit could be the console driver. 

J'rg's suggestion of a config file change isn't correct either, since if
the conflicts keyword wasn't there it wouldn't even probe, therefore it
would be disabled.

I'm not sure what to tell you, other than you could try the psm driver
from -current which has a slightly different probe and see if it changes.  Or,
if you're really paranoid you could grab the psm.c driver from 2.1 and see
if it makes any difference (if it does then I've really screwed up since I
only re-formatted it for 2.1.5, and there shouldn't have been any functional
changes.)
