Hi Everyone:

Is there anyone out there who is using their 386bsd box as an NNTP
server? I have been trying to do this for awhile now but am not having a
lot of success. I can get the server stuff for the nntp.1.5.11 distrib
to build but it doesn't work correctly. The first problem that it seems
to be having is with it's checking of available disk space before allowing
a client to use the server. I get errors on the console from nntpd saying
that it is failing to open /dev/wd0a. If I try to cat wd0a, I get a device
busy error. However, I can cat /dev/rwd0a ok. Do I need to hack the server
to read /dev/rwd0a? I think I can but I don't know if /dev/rwd0a will give
the nntpd space checking code information in the correct format.
If there is anyone who has already gone through this and triumphed,
I'd be indebted to you for any tips or diffs :-) Thanks for any help that
anyone can provide!
