There's interest, please don't get the impression that total apathy is what's currently standing in the way there. It's just time, or lack thereof, which has us chasing only the issues of highest import right now. ATM, while definitely something for the future, is not quite such a high priority need right now so it's not as far up on the TODO list as, say, getting the 4.4 Lite2 merge finished, finishing devfs or going to a new ISA configuration mechanism.
