I have two hopefully easy and quick questions: One of our users would like to be able to hide a directory (remove 'r' bit) but allow people to 'cd' to it if they know the name of the directory. He would also like to allow that same user to write to a subdirectory below the unreadable directory. The problem we are seeing is that the system will not allow him to write to that directory. The error message is can't cwdir, permission denied, or something to that effect. My guess is the system is not happy about the parent directory not being readble. Is there a way to fix this? Secondly, when someone anonymously uploads a file to a user's directory, that file has the userid of the FTP account. Is there a way to made that file belong to the user who's directory it was uploaded to? Any help/suggestions would be greatly apprecaited... TIA, Sean Rolinson snowdog@charm.net
