Some releases of Netscape 2 required a symlink named X11 to point to the X11R6 directory; I first had trouble until I did that. Now, I just leave the symlink in place -- either it's needed, or else it doesn't matter. Beyond that, I simply copied the tarball main contents into my /usr/X11R6/bin directory so I'd have an existing path to the executables. You've already done the nls/ directory, so that should work. Note that if you're installing Netscape 3, you will have to take a couple of extra steps (described in detail in prior posts) to get java working. -- Ken Are you interested in | byte-sized education | http://www.play-hookey.com over the Internet? |
