Lines: 25 Message-ID: <322C2F46.167EB0E7@baynetworks.com> NNTP-Posting-Host: dino.wellfleet.com Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit X-Mailer: Mozilla 3.0b7 (X11; I; FreeBSD 2.1.5-RELEASE i386) User's home directories are automounted here. For example: bash$ ypcat passwd | grep bwithrow bwithrow:<removed>:<nnn>:20:Robert Withrow:/usr25/bwithrow:/bin/bash But when I log in I see: bash$ pwd /a/akila-e1/usr25/bwithrow Instead of /usr25/bwithrow Why is the automount target used instead of the automount point? Related question: Does an access to /a/whatever keep the cache marked as used like an access to the automount point would? -- Robert Withrow -- (+1 508 436 8256) BWithrow@BayNetworks.com
