HELP!!! I have a pentium 133 mhz with 16 meg EDO ram, the motherboard
is a Intel 430 hx with onboard pci and ide master bus controller which
my teac CD58E cd-rom is hooked up to. I also have a matrox millenium
video with 2 meg WRAM and a soundblaster 32 AWE sound card. My hard
drive is a 2 GIG SCSI HP C3725S with an Adaptec 2940PCI controller.
The problem is that I can not install from the cd-rom. Any help would
be appreciated. I can boot with install from the cd-rom or I can boot
from a floppy with no problems. I can go through all the menus but
when I choose thye install medium as the Teac cd-rom I get No Cd-Rom
devices found!!??? I have tried setting the jumper on the CD from
master to slave and have even tried using the PCI controller with no
effect. During boot both on board controllers are detected depending
on which I have the cd hooked up too. So it is recognizing both on
board controllers when the cd-rom is hooked up to it but still get the
same message "No Cd devices found".
