We are making the decision after : 4 months of evaluating Solaris. Those tests don't mention the details of the results, what os was better at what task. It also fails to mention how the machines performed under a high load like a web server. In a web server you might have 100s of processes running at once. In this case, Solaris would probably be able to handle the largest load and still deliver web pages in a timley fashion. -- Phillip Moore * Systems Administration 601.325.4023 * NSF Engineering Research Center 601.325.7692 (fax) * Mississippi State University http://www.erc.msstate.edu/~phil/
