I have a 486-50 with UMC chipset and AMI bios. this puppy is fast and stable with stock 0.1 386bsd. I installed the patches some time ago, and have not had one crash since trading in my OPTI. oh yeah, I run X, NFS client and server, and do much compiling. the AMI bios on this sucker allows me to set wait states to main memory and cache, speed of the ISA bus, and the usual other stuff. curt -- curt mayer cmayer@oracle.com curt@toad.com 415-387-0217 home 415-506-2504 work
