When I did "stty -istrip" under 2.1, the <Meta> key seemed to work fine
with tcsh: <Meta-Backspace> erased a word, <Meta-f> moved the cursor
forward a word, <Meta-b> backed up the cursor a word, <Meta-p> did
the search-backward-for-string function, etc.

With 2.2-960612-SNAP, however, only <Meta-Backspace> seems to work,
all the others give me "o"'s with umlats and the like.

Has/will this be fixed in a later release?
