Well I'm surely no expert but it sounds like your saying you have the whole
works on a DOS partition all unpacked, in other words in a big tree of
directories? I have never gotten it this way but for what it is worth when
it is unpacked it goes in /usr/src/sys/*rest*/. Where *rest* is a mess of
subdirectories and files. If you don't have the source your directory
usually ends at /usr/src. So if you have the sys/*rest*/ part on your DOS
partition try moving it to /usr/src/sys/*rest*/.

And don't ask me how to access the DOS partition, I have no DOS or clue<g>.

I really don't know if there are any files that go outside of that tree.
