Make up a DOS boot diskette with an IDE CDROM driver on it, and boot it. Then change to the CDROM drive letter and start the installation. Be sure to install the sources, cause you will probably have to rebuild the kernel to get IDE support once you reboot under FreeBSD. I have 4 IDE CDROM drives in my server, 2 each running as Master and Slave off each internal IDE controller (I boot from SCSI). But I had to build the kernel to suit.
