: 32 MB RAM? 10 Mb Ethernet? 400,000 hits per day?
: First off, that's a little hard to swallow.

Are you saying I'm lying? *shrug*

I had sustained traffic levels of that magnitude for *months*
on that machine. It worked just fine. And 10mb ethernet is
a lot faster than a 1.5mbit T1 (which the machine used to connect
to the net).

: Secondly, what're you doing that's generating 400,000 hits per day?

The server was running a bunch of virtual web sites for commercial
customers as well as personal web pages for roughly 100 folks.
