I said that because the first time your name appeared (at least in a long time) in this NG, you essentially accused me of not knowing anything about what I said. The appearance is that of someone who sits back, refuses to participate, and then jumps at an opportunity to snipe at someone else. I'm well aware that I have my faults (who doesn't? :-) ), and if you think I'm caustic now, you shlould have known me 30 years ago. I was quite capable of felling an oak tree with a cutting remark ( :-), again). However, I still tend to take offense when I get jumped on for speaking out in accordance with experiences that I *have* had. Typically, I stay out of threads (most of the ones in this NG, for example) where I have no concrete example or experience to contribute. By all means, stick around and contribute where you can; your constructive input will be welcomed. Maybe we can both avoid the badmouthing and putdowns, though, huh? -- Ken Are you interested in | byte-sized education | http://www.play-hookey.com over the Internet? |
