Message-ID: <nzKMqMd@quack.kfu.com> Sender: news@quack.kfu.com (0000-News(0000)) Organization: The Duck Pond public unix, +1 408 249 9630, log in as guest. Date: Wed, 18 Sep 1996 06:17:20 UTC Lines: 37 Has anyone managed to get the 960801 worm driver and an HP 4020i to write an audio track? When I tried, using the script below, it failed on each write with a sense 2c command sequence error having written no data. #! /bin/sh wormcontrol prepdisk single dummy wormcontrol track audio rtprio 5 team -v 1m 5 < t1.cdr | rtprio 5 dd of=/dev/rworm0 obs=23520 wormcontrol track audio rtprio 5 team -v 1m 5 < t2.cdr | rtprio 5 dd of=/dev/rworm0 obs=23520 wormcontrol track audio rtprio 5 team -v 1m 5 < t3.cdr | rtprio 5 dd of=/dev/rworm0 obs=23520 wormcontrol track audio rtprio 5 team -v 1m 5 < t4.cdr | rtprio 5 dd of=/dev/rworm0 obs=23520 wormcontrol fixate 0 exit 0 Obviously with the 'dummy' flag I'm not going to get a disk, but if I substitute 'data' for 'audio' and '20k' for '23520', this sequence works (but would result in a frisbee if the dummy flag was missing). I have successfully burned data CDs with this drive. Here's how FreeBSD sees it: (ahc0:3:0): "HP C4324/C4325 1.20" type 5 removable SCSI 2 ahc0 is an AHA-2940 built into the (P-120 / Triton) motherboard. -- Nick Sayer <nsayer@quack.kfu.com> | "...That whenever any form of Government N6QQQ @ N0ARY.#NORCAL.CA.USA.NOAM | becomes destructive of these ends, it is +1 408 249 9630, log in as 'guest' | the Right of the People to alter or to URL: http://www.kfu.com/~nsayer/ | abolish it..."
