First I wanna thank all of you who helped me getting my mouse to work, getting my X to work etc. ! But now I have a big Problem: When I try to compile big C-files the system hangs permanently. Also it hangs if the load begins to increase (in X windows). There's no error message. Is there any patch to solve this problem ? I installed all 58 patches from terry. Are there any new patches which could solve this problem ? Another Problem is: how to make a backup. I tried to use tar, but tar can't create the file /dev/log. Is there any other way ? (Do I need /dev/log ?) Please answer by email. Thanx in advance, Udo -- Udo Wolter INTERNET: uwp@cs.tu.berlin.de, wolter@db0tui11.cs.tu-berlin.de BITNET/EARN: WOLTER@DB0TUI11
