I'm sure someone here will correct me but you probably can't change the
IRQ. I also have an Adaptec 1505/1515 and have had lot's of trouble with
it. (spontaneous Panic: Can't mount root messages)
It is not in the supported hardware list. My system also tries to use
aic0 on IRQ 11 to try and use the card. I think it must be on IRQ 11
with this driver.

Can someone suggest a SCSI card that works well in a 486, non PCI
machine for me?
