The actual SMB server daemon (smbd) works fine. This same version of Samba runs fine on FreeBSD v2.1.0-RELEASE and v1.1.5.1. Copying the binary created on v2.1.0R to v2.1.5R gives the same error. Turning off optimizations doesn't help either. The older release version of Samba (v1.9.15p8) works fine on everything. Anyone seen this before? Any patches, work-arounds etc. ? I have posted a similar query in the comp.dcom.smb newsgroup, hoping that some Samba developers will help out. -- | John Lucas jlucas@jnet.vi | | Information Technology NIC Handle: JL423 | | University of the Virgin Islands (809) 693-1216 | | St. Thomas, VI 00802 http://www.jnet.vi/jlucas.html |
