Go with what you know!  If you know NT then it is better to 
start there anyway.

Unless you are going past 2-3 million hits per day, the performance
won't be an issue.  There are 

Unix is more flexible and more customizeable, but only for those
who feel comfortable with it.  

The most user-friendly web tools are available for NT.  Web databases
are much easier to setup on NT.
