Message-ID: <32432B69.7BE7@sticky.usu.edu> From: Hal Lynch <hal@sticky.usu.edu> Date: Fri, 20 Sep 1996 17:40:05 -0600 Reply-To: hal@sticky.usu.edu Organization: Utah State University Nntp-Posting-Host: buffy.usu.edu X-Mailer: Mozilla 3.0 (Macintosh; I; 68K) MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Lines: 28 I am trying to get booteasy to boot off of more than one disk but it dosen't work. What am I doing wrong? Here is what I have: 386 cpu. scsi disk sd0 dos 6.21 only (the whole disk). scsi disk sd1 Freebsd 2.1.5 only (the whole disk). Here is what happens: Any way of booting or rebooting from the hard disks causes the machine to boot dos (sd0). The only way to get Freebsd (sd1) to boot is to use the boot floppy. What I have done: In sysinstall I have selected booteasy on sd0, sd1, and both. None of the combinations has worked. What I have seen: The boot selector part of the installation is real quiet. Beyond asking me which type of boot I want and which drive(s) I want to boot from it dosen't say a thing. No feedback whatsoever. Is that correct? What am I doing wrong? hal
