Hi folks.

Yeah I know, not the best system but... Anyways, I'm trying to install
version 2.1 of FreeBSD. I only have four megs of ram (I read somewhere
that I can install FreeBSD with four megs!!).

Anyways, when FreeBSD boots up, it DOESN'T detect my hard drive.

I have an old Packard Bell Legend 386 SX 16-mhz with an equally old WD
40 meg HD.

When it gets to WDC0 and WDC1 (controller one and two), it says NOT
FOUND.

The output from MSD (Microsoft diagnostics) shows IDE controller at IRQ
14 and somwthing like 0DC8:0177. Now FreeBSD seems like it's not
looking at the right port?!?!?

Any Ideas (I'm basically new to FreeBSD).

Now, I can install Linux and Minix (and did) on the machine but I want
to try FreeBSD. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Stephane Lajeunesse.
