Date: Mon, 23 Sep 1996 00:02:19 GMT Organization: Monmouth Internet Lines: 17 Message-ID: <3245d376.2361912@news.monmouth.com> NNTP-Posting-Host: rb-isdn-ppp0.monmouth.com X-Newsreader: Forte Agent .99d/32.168 We currently have some terminal servers running BSDI. When I login to the servers to do a 'w' command it will tell me what users along with port name and time activity. However, on one of the servers it also tells me what ppp # was assigned to each user. For example, the one server has 64 dynamic IP's assigned to it along with the corresponding ppp#. When I do a 'w' command on this machines it shows me everyone's ppp# which is great for trouble shooting. However on all my other terminal servers it will not show this when I do the 'w' command. I have compared patchlogs and have yet to find out how to configure all the terminal servers to show the assigned ppp#'s for each user when doing a 'w' command......Can anyone share some light on this....it is driving me crazy...thank you -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Rick | Serving the Central Monmouth Internet Engineer | New Jersey Area http://www.monmouth.com/ | Phone: 908-842-5366 -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
