Maybe nothing. Two possibilities suggest themselves to me:

1. Remember that the tip of the mouse pointer is the actual "hot spot."
It won't move off the screen. However, the rest of the arrow will (true
for me in both Windoze and X), leaving only the very tip of the arrow
visible along the bottom and right edges. If that's what you see, it's
not a fault.

2. Shifting from text mode to high-res graphics, many monitors
experience a change in raster size and placement. Check to see if the
right edge of the raster has slid off the visible screen. If so,
resize/reposition the visible display.
