Firstly:  Please use less than 70 characters per line.  This will increase
the readability of your article a lot.

You should post the output of "ifconfig -a" and "netstat -rn" after
the connect to see if your interfaces and routes are correctly configured.
You also should post your config files, maybe anyone will find a mistake
there.

I don't think that anyone can help you with that few information.
