As Hannu has already pointed out, this is easy to do from Linux.  To
share a Linux swap device from FreeBSD is similarly easy - simply do a
swapon using the "slice" number of the partition corresponding to the
Linux swap partition.  If you're using a swap file under an ext2fs
partition instead and you're running 2.2, then you can also simply mount
the ext2fs partition and use vnconfig(1) to configure the swap file as a
FreeBSD swap file.
