The conclusion is : left as an exercise for the reader. Anyone who uses threads and doesn't use what the OS comes with is asking for trouble. I hope the Sun people learned a thing or two. It will only make solaris 2.6 that much better. I'm now an HP-UX person, but Solaris rules as far as threads support.
