Talking of ppp problems, I have a problem with the userland ppp (2.1.0-R). Occasionally, when I get a failed connection to my ISP, ppp will just lock at the dial ok stage and not timeout. Now sometimes I can kill it successfully, other times I can kill -9 on it and it will be unkillable. ps shows it's flags as IE (waiting for over 20 seconds and trying to exit). The only wait out is to reboot the machine. Is there a known bug, would getting the sources to a -current copy and compiling fix it? I've just grabbed a copy of the ppp with masquerading, so I might try that and see if it exhibits the same problem. -Paul- -- Paul Civati =O= Home: paul@xciv.org =O= http://www.xciv.org/ London UK =O= Home: paul@xciv.demon.co.uk =O= Slackware is.
