I'm a little confused over the last releases of FreeBSD.

I have two CD's from Wallnut Creek,

One is marked "JANUARY 1996", but on the cover is labeled
FreeBSD 2.2 SNAPSHOT 5/1/96. (May Release!)
I have it installed, as it is the only one with a boot.flp that
can see the ATAPI CD-ROM.
It works fine. I have NCSA's httpd installed on it, prefering it to Apache.

I also purchased the 2-disk set, marked "August 1996".
FreeBSD 2.1.5.
Supposing that August comes after January, I figured that it would be
a 'later' release, and at least contain a boot.flp that recognised the
ATAPI CD as well. However, this is not so.

So I continue to run the January(nee May Snapshot) version.

Before I get really into getting this thing set up as a Web Server, is
there any reason to suppose that 2.1.5 is 'better' than 2.2 Snapshot(May).
or vice-versa
.
is it ok to stick with 2.2 snap?
Can someone kind of clear up what is the deal here please?

Thanks
Bob
