I had my freebsd machine running on a 486-133 w/ 32m of ram. Last
night I upgraded it to a pentium-133 w/ 48m of ram. I've been
experiencing the following problem since.

When booting the kernel everything goes fine until it reaches the
part where it sets up the network devices.

ep0:flags=8843<UP,BROADCAST,RUNNING,SIMPLEX,MULTICAST>mtu 1500
inet 205.179.167.60 netmask 0xffffffe0 broadcast 205.179.167.63
ether 00:a0:24:e2:60:54

it hangs after this message for maybe 4 minutes then proceeds to the
lo0 stuff which goes just fine.

can someone help me figure out why this is happening and correct it?

Also, it says that the broadcast IP is 205.179.167.63, I'v never told
this machine to use 63, only 60. Where does bsd get this info from?

I'm also looking for a little guidance regarding getting additional
network adapters working in this machine if anyone is willing to help.

Thanks in advance.

Tom
