Some DOS filesystems : tickle a *bad* bug in FreeBSD msdosfs code, and that is why the msdosfs : code is currently being re-written from scratch. In the meantime, don't : mount DOS filesystems read/write. Thanks... If they're mroe than 512M (or is it 1024), don't mount them at all. They'll eat you alive - and your system. I suspect that the msdosfs code must be scribbling on the disk cache buffers. When you problem hits, it'll also attack disks thare are on a different controller ! I've *never* had a problem w/ slices of 512M or less, but don't quote me on that ! -- Brian <brian@awfulhak.demon.co.uk> Don't _EVER_ lose your sense of humour....
