I had a similar problem with the EtherExpress 16. I used "softset.exe"
to configure the card, so maybe this works for you, too. You just have
to boot with the first DOS disk, and quit installation with F3.

Set irq to 5 (10 or 11 didn't work for me), IO port to 300h, the
memory amount to 32k and the start address to d400h (or d800h).
The HARDWARE readme mentions d0000h, but "softset" doesn't allow
this address.

Then boot with "-c" and configure the card with the same parameters.
Use d4000h (or d8000h) for the start address (note: one zero more!).

With this, my system found the card.

Now I have another problem (or maybe it's the same, thinking about
this "one zero more or less" thing): When I ping my host (as root),
I get the message "sendto: permission denied". Dito with finger @host.

Did anyone encounter this problem before?

Frank.
