There are many books pertaining to UNIX and its bits and pieces. For the basic's there is a book named : Learning the UNIX Operating System. : 3rd Edition August 1993 : 1-56592-060-0, Order Number: 0600 : 108 pages, $9.95 For admin : Essential System Administration : 2nd Edition September 1995 : 1-56592-127-5, Order Number: 1275 : 788 pages, $32.95 The ESA book is extreamly good, I have a copy and it is extreamly worn, I use it all the time. The first book is a basic over view. I am not really looking for a huge : information source, just something that can at least help me with the : basics [general system security, setting up accounts, adding new : devices, what files control what, etc.]. : Phillip Smith : Anomaly@bga.com
