OK, I thought, it doesn't autodetect to good - so I plugged it into a 100baseT port. Works like a bought one. Next reboot, it comes up at 10M. Curious. Plug it back into the 10M port and reboot - comes up as 100M. ie. Seems to detect 10baseT on 100baseT port and 100baseT on 10baseT port. Never gotten round to look at the driver code; I'm surprised that noone else would have picked this up if it is a general problem.
