  Agreed.  They're junk.  Over one year's time, I went through three of 
Quantum's 2.1 GB (two were DOA, the other three failed within a couple of
months).  This was at one site.

  Another site I was at had purchased three of the 4 GB drives, and 
within six months all three were dead (each was in a separate machine.)

  I've had good luck with the current Seagates, as well as Conners.
