Try flipping the controllers around. By default, FreeBSD assigns sd0 onto the first controller that it finds when it scans the PCI bus. When you added the second controller, if you placed it into a lower- numbered PCI slot that your other controller, FreeBSD will attempt to assign sd0 to your new controller. That doesn't work, of course. -- Dave Brady Administrative Computer Services Sr. UNIX System Administrator Northeastern University dave@acs.neu.edu Suite 448CP Phone: (617) 373-4156 360 Huntington Avenue FAX: (617) 373-4354 Boston, MA 02115
