The last version of OS/2 I worked on (1.3) obviously borrowed some from Unix (for example there was a hidden "/dev" directory, among many other interesting things), but OS/2 and NT are now quite different beasts, despite originally being a joint IBM/Microsoft project. I remember seing some of the early OS/2 manuals which had a great quote by Bill Gates where he stated that OS/2 was the future of computing. I sure wish I photocopied that page. Also, did you ever notice that if you increment by one each of the letters in VMS you get WNT?
