I downloaded NetBSD 1.2 and installed it on an old Mac Performa 460
(68030 33Mhz, 68881, 20MB RAM, System 7.5.3, 730MB HD). The
installation went fine, but when I try to boot, it gets almost all of
the way there -- I assume this because a lot of text scrolls by in the
console and then a message indicates "Closing log file" -- and then the
entire machine locks-up tighter than a drum. I have to use
CTRL-COMMAND-POWER to reset the machine.

Any ideas on what I could be doing wrong? I would really appreciate an
email to pnush@quadrant.com as I do not have access to the newsgroups
all that often.

BTW, I boot with Extension Off just to make sure nothing is hanging
around in memory to screw things up.
