I want to move my live file system to a precut 1gig disk. however, Im having quite a lot of trouble. I tried to partition it, disklabel it and newfs it, but I had some problems. I have used sysinstall on both the floppy and in /stand, but it fails when I try to write the label. It does fdisk it alright though. When I boot from floppy I partition it, then label it, when I try to write out the label, it says "cant swap to sd0s1b" followed by a can't write ro /dev/rsd0 return -1. When I use /stand/sysinstall it just bombs and dumps a core. Im at a loss, and quite frustrated. I am in desperate need of documentation on this subject... I cant seem to find anything specific in the FAQ. Anyone else had any problems with Seagate 1gig drives? ============================================================================ Bill Woodford * wwoodf1@umbc.edu University Computing Services http://research.umbc.edu/~wwoodf1 Systems Administrator President, UMBC Anime Society ECS 128 "The Zoo", x6706 ============================================================================
