I'm going to need to be setting up a web server soon here for our business. I figure I can either do it with FreeBSD or Windows NT. I'd prefer to use FreeBSD due to less overhead, and hopefully better performance... problem is, I already know how to do everything using Windows NT (and it's got the pretty interface), but am new to FreeBSD. I've already obtained the FreeBSD CD-ROM, and even got a basic working install up and going. What I need are some good crash-course guides to help someone with a very large amount of computer knowledge, but limited knowledge in Unix. I'm willing to burn plenty of midnight oil, but I need some step-by-step handholding to get things at least up and running first. Then as I learn more I'll take care of the details. So if there's a good web site out there (I've been looking, to know avail), or a nice thick book I should buy, I'd appreciate the info. If I can't get this together soon, I'll have to resort to using NT, but I'd much rather figure it out with FreeBSD, even if it means I don't get much sleep for a month. Please respond via email to chroma@together.net Thanks!
