I agree that you should buy seperate network & modem cards, but definitely do *NOT* agree about the 3c589c ! Up to and including SNAP-960801, my one jams all over the shop. ifconfig will re-initialise it, but break most TCP connections. I can't recommend any other PCMCIA cards, but I would *never* recommend a 3com. My best throughput is 300k/s. This drops to 30k most of the time :( My experience with the 3c589c coupled with peoples apparent troubles with the 3c509 indicate that 3com is at least "dodgy" in the FreeBSD world. -- Brian <brian@awfulhak.demon.co.uk> Don't _EVER_ lose your sense of humour....
