It seems to work intermittently. I'm getting error messages such as the following when I use tar or dump: st0(aha0:1:0): Hardware failure asc 44,0 internal failure My settings on the Adaptec card are: IRQ 11, DMA 5, 334-337h Termination installed, disable floppy, BIOS disable. In the advanced SCSI settings I've lowered the speed to 3 Any help appreciated. Also, would the 2940/U/UW be a more stable choice? Thanks, Julie Schneider
