The problem started cropping up after we added a couple of new disks and a second adaptec 2940 controller. The only thing that happens to the system is that it STOPs. it's off the net (ping fails), the console terminals all lock. I've ruled out bad memory ; it could be a bad disk, though I'm not sure why I have no error messages. It could possibly be the second controller, but I had it running successfully for many months in another system. I replaced all the internal cabling, so it's not that either. If anyone has any insight to this problem, please drop me a line. -- Sean T. Lamont, President / Chief NetNerd, Abstract Software, Inc.
