I am using the kernel ppp (pppd) it seems to be working just fine (and
faster, using less cpu resources tha ijppp) the only thing that is
bothering me, is that when a caller logs off, the following messages
appear in the /var/log/messages file:

Oct 7 23:08:20 nancy pppd[11956]: ioctl (PPPIOCGFLAGS): Inappropriate
ioctl for device
Oct 7 23:08:20 nancy pppd[11956]: ioctl (PPPIOCGFLAGS): Inappropriate
ioctl for device
Oct  7 23:08:20 nancy pppd[11956]: ioctl(PPPIOCSASYNCMAP): Inappropriate
ioctl for device
Oct  7 23:08:20 nancy pppd[11956]: fcntl(F_SETFL, fdflags):
Inappropriate ioctl for device
Oct  7 23:08:20 nancy pppd[11956]: ioctl(TIOCSETD): Inappropriate ioctl
for device
Oct 7 23:08:20 nancy pppd[11956]: tcsetattr: Inappropriate ioctl for
device

I am woundering how to stop these messages, and make pppd disconnect a
little cleaner.
