Can your machine find it, and just can't read or write to
it ?  I found that with SunOS 4.1.4 I needed to modify
two of the files in the /usr/sys/scsi/targets directory
and recompile the kernel.  These files were stdef.h and 
st_conf.c.  If you haven't done this and need to know how
to change these files, let me know and I'll send you the
corrections you need to make.
