The Tyan boards run fine if you run 'em with modern controllers - I have a 96MB P133 Tomcat running BSD/OS 2.1 using a BT-946C, and I've also got a 128MB P166 Tomcat running with BT-946, -948, and -958D controllers and a variety of disks. As I said when I previously responded to your post, I have found that ISA Adaptec boards don't work very well in the Rev 4 Tom- cats, but as modern controllers are relatively inexpensive and much better performers than the ISA ones, I see no reason to spend excessive amounts of time trying to get the ISA ones to work.
