Date: Fri, 11 Oct 1996 22:58:57 -0500 Lines: 12 Message-ID: <325F1781.6147@ixl.net> NNTP-Posting-Host: 199.173.177.170 Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit X-Mailer: Mozilla 3.0Gold (Win95; I) I have a TEAC 6x IDE/Atapi cd rom and I have purchased the Walnut Creek FBSD 2.1 distribution. Eveything seems to go fine, it just can't find the CD. It is set as the master drive on the secondary hd controller. I read several people talking about moving the cd to a slave, but I don't want to compromise the hd performance. It recognizen my wdc0 wd0(I think that's the name of the hd), wdc1 (it pauses a while here as if to tease me into thinking it sees the cd), then continues on through the installation. The only reason that I don't know whether the cd is installed or not is that as soon as wdc1 is looked at the screen scrolls at warp 9... I tried the -c by the way, no luck. Thanks! Chris
