So, I couldn't do a compile. ;-)) I also tried the precompiled binaries, but that didn't work out for me either. As for HTML, and LATEX, I don't like them that very much either. I think they make writing too difficult, too much trouble, and too much like programming. If I accidently delete one of those nice curly braces in my LATEX document, my entire document gets courrupted. ;-)) Debug my book report, or that 100+ page annual report? no way... Anyhow... for those of you who prefer a commerical word processor, I suggest Applixware by RedHat. Applixware is a full package, comes with word processor, spreadsheet, drawing program, and a lot of other goodies. If you are interested, you can look it up in Red Hat's homepage: http://www.redhat.com Oh... and by the way, if you order this month, you can get Applixware for a reduced price of $199. And if you're a student, you can get it at the academic price of $79. I already placed an order for my copy. I'm not advertising for them... so you don't have to pay me commisson. ;-)) I know of a few satisfied users of Applixware with their Linux systems, running under XFree86. I'm NOT exactly sure if there is a FreeBSD version of Applixware... but I'm sure it would not be difficult for RedHat to port it to FreeBSD if that's not already done. You'll have to either search through their page, or call. With Applixware, you can throw M$ office out of your windoze. A package such as Applixware will certainly attract more Linux/FreeBSD users to move out of their windoze boxes, or at least give Linux/FreeBSD a test drive.
