A new version of software for MUSTEK Paragon 600/1200 SCSI flatbed
scanners (maybe other scanners also work) is now available. You can
use it under Linux and BSD/OS (BSDI).
It should be no problem to port the software to other systems which
have a generic SCSI driver (e.g. SGI-IRIX).
The package includes:
+ 'xscan' - a Tcl/Tk user interface
+ a program named 'pnmscan' which does the scanning and produces
ppm-, pgm-, or pbm-images
+ some usefull example shell scripts like 'scancopy' (and
scanfax)
to copy scanner data to a printer
+ a BSD/OS generic SCSI kernel driver (only required for BSD/OS)
